How scoring works

Line clears

The more rows you clear with one piece, the more each row is worth. All values are multiplied by your current level.

Four singles at level 1 earn 400 points. One quad earns 800 — twice as much for the same four rows.

T-spins

A T-spin happens when the last move of a T-piece is a rotation that wedges it into a slot with at least three of its four corners blocked. The game recognises it and pays a premium.

Back-to-back bonus

Quads and T-spins that clear lines are “difficult” clears. Two difficult clears in a row — with no easy clear between them — earn a back-to-back bonus of ×1.5 on the second one. The chain continues for as long as you keep making difficult clears.

Combos

A combo is a run of pieces that each clear at least one line. The first clear starts the chain; every following clear adds 50 × combo × level on top of its line points. Drop a piece that clears nothing and the combo resets.

Drop points

• Soft drop: +1 point for every cell the piece falls while you drag down.
• Hard drop: +2 points for every cell of the instant drop.

The level multiplier

Your level rises every 12 lines and multiplies every clear. The multiplier stops growing at level 20 — levels keep counting on the screen, but endless runs cannot inflate scores forever. That keeps the global board fair.
